Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does it mean to be a JMOOC certified platform?

    It means Fisdom has been approved by JMOOC organization and can act as a delivery platform providing free online courses. Fisdom is one of JMOOC certified delivery platforms. Please visit the JMOOC website for more information.

  • What kind of courses can I enroll in?

    To let you choose from more courses you might be interested in, Fisdom will add more courses from various fields in the near future. Please note that the enrollment period will vary for each course.

  • Can I learn from any other country besides Japan?

    Yes, you can. You can access Fisdom anytime and anywhere.

  • Any recommended browsers?

    We recommend Internet Explorer 10 or later, and the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox. Fisdom is incompatible with older browsers, and some website features will not work on older browser versions.

  • Buttons and messages do not appear on the page during account registration.

    Fisdom will not load properly if you are using Internet Explorer 9 or earlier. Please use the latest version of Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. If this does not fix the problem, please try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page.

  • How do I create a new account?

    Click on the “Create a New Account/Login” button on the homepage. This will open the New account registration/Login screen, where you can also opt to change Fisdom's language to English. Afterwards, please select “Create a New Account”.

    1. Enter your email address, then hit “Send”.
    2. You will receive an email entitled “Notice of new account registration process.” Please click on the URL in the email and follow its instructions.
    3. Fill in the requested information, then press “Register”.

  • I registered the wrong email address by mistake.

    Please create a new account with the correct email address.

  • Why does Fisdom need my name?

    Your name will appear on the certificates Fisdom can issue every time you complete a course. Your name will not be shared with other users, so we recommend registering with your real name. You may change your name in My Page at any time. However, please note your Username is different from your name. Your Username will be publicly visible to other users on discussion boards, and cannot be changed.

  • Does it cost money to attend?

    Services such as viewing videos, trying out lectures, and receiving certificates are available free of charge.

  • Can I attend even if Im not a college or university student?

    Anyone can register and take courses in Fisdom. There are no mandatory requirements such as age, gender, or educational attainment.
